TOM AND SHEILA JONES AND STEVE BROWN IN LAS VEGAS
The second weekend in January, Tom Jones and Steve Brown (authors of One Another) spoke to the Las Vegas church on the topic of "All the Way to Kingdom Come" (also a CD-set carried by DPI). Sheila spoke to the women on the topic of "Joy on the Journey" based on several chapters in her new book My Bucket of Sand.

What an encouragement to be with disciples who are bringing much-needed light to a very dark city. Frank and Julie Williams are doing a great job sharing their lives with and giving direction to this church.

DPI AT THE MOPS CONVENTION IN NASHVILLE
We were thrilled to be an exhibitor at the MOPS convention in Nashville last weekend to release our newest book The Tender Years: Parenting Preschoolers. MOPS stands for "Mothers of Preschoolers," so you can see why we were excited to offer this book.

After perusing all the books for sale at the conference, we realized we were the only publisher who had a book addressed just to moms of preschoolers. That was a fact we repeated again and again to those who came by the booth.

On Thursday, Geri Laing and her friend Kay Garcia joined me in the booth. Geri was able to interact with women and sign copies of the book. We pray that the 100,000 women in MOPS will have a chance to find out about this inspiring, encouraging and helpful book. Please pray with us.

DR. JOY BODZIOCH IN CHICAGO
Dr. Joy Bodzioch was recently interviewed on the Harvest Show on LaSea Broadcasting in South Bend, IN. While in the area, she spoke to the women in the Southland Region of the Chicago Church of Christ. She also conducted a workshop for the staff women. Dr. Joy signed copies of her book Discover Joy, and encouraged the women who got to hear her speak.

Meegan Zillman, the women's ministry leader in the region said this about Dr. Joy's time with the women:

"Joy took the accumulated learning from her years of training, study, practice, and counsel and affirmed the message the Bible has been espousing from the beginning--that God is the key to vibrant mental health. When someone with so much experience and credibility shares about the path to discovering joy, you tend to stop and listen with special attentiveness. Not only did her class give good practicals for the journey, but it powerfully communicated God's heart for people."
