  DPI Board Members

DPI is a 501 3C not-for-profit Christian publishing company. And as such, we are overseen by a board of six people, each serving a two-year term. We are grateful to these board members for believing in DPI’s mission and for giving their time and energy to help ensure its growth and effectiveness.

We want to introduce you to our board members and officers:

Kelly Petre entered the full-time ministry after receiving a degree in aerospace engineering from Princeton. From 1986 until 2006 he served in various places, including Paris, France; Montreal; and Boston. He has fulfilled the roles of evangelist, teacher and editor in chief of DPI. He now owns a health club in suburban Boston and continues to use his teaching talents to serve the Boston Church in the North Region. He is married to Dede, and they live in Beverly, Massachusetts, with their two children. Kelly serves as the president of the board.

Tom Jones is currently a teacher in the Greater Nashville Church and editor emeritus for DPI. Tom had the honor of starting DPI in 1992 when the Boston Church leadership asked him to begin a publishing work that would benefit the church worldwide. He served in the role of editor in chief of DPI for eight years. Tom has an MA in theology from Harding Graduate School and has written numerous books for DPI. He serves as the secretary of the board. He is married to Sheila, who is the executive director/managing editor of DPI. They have three grown daughters.

Jeanie Shaw has been in the full-time ministry all her married life. After she graduated from the University of Florida, she and Wyndham began their ministry. They have served churches in Raleigh, NC; Morgantown, WV; Charlotte, NC; and Boston. For several years, Jeanie served as Director of Program Development for Hope worldwide New England. While in this position with HOPE, she served as a representative to the United Nations Advisory Council. She and Wyndham have four grown children and live in the Boston area.

Ed Anton found his true calling in the ministry after having worked in marketing for Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola for a total of ten years. Over the past twelve years, he has served as an evangelist in several congregations and is currently serving with the Hampton Roads Church. He not only works with married couples, but also oversees the campus ministry and the teaching ministry. He and his wife, Deb, who is a physician in family practice, have four children. He is the author of Repentance: A Cosmic Shift of Mind and Heart, published by DPI.

Mike VanAuken serves as an evangelist overseeing the Metro Region of the Boston Church. Since 1991 he has served in various leadership roles, including the campus and singles ministry. He has also taught training classes for the church staff in New England as well as in Central Europe, and he currently serves on the Boston Church Board or Directors. Mike has also done course work at Gordon-Conwell. Not only does he bring biblical expertise to his role of board member, but he also brings the business expertise he gained in earning his MBA from Stanford. Mike is married to Scarlette, and they have two boys.

Greg Jackson and his wife, Theresa, served in the full-time ministry for 15 years in the Midwest and in California. Greg is an elder in the Denver Church now and has been for the past 9 years. He has a BA in writing and an MS in financial planning, a great combination for a board member with a publishing company! Greg and Theresa have been married for more than 30 years and have three daughters. Gregg is our newest board member.

Sheila Jones is the executive director of DPI, and as such she oversees the day-to-day editorial as well as administrative workings of the publishing company. She formerly served as Associate Editor and has worked with DPI for the last ten years. She is a member of the Greater Nashville Church and is the author of 9 to 5 and Spiritually Alive, and of My Bucket of Sand, the co-author of To Live Is Christ, and is the editor of numerous anthologies. She and her husband, Tom, have three daughters in their 30s.

Woody Rowe is the treasurer of DPI and also makes sure all our monetary dealings are taken care of in a prudent and efficient manner. Woody is an elder in the Greater Nashville Church. After several years in church administration, he has started his own accounting company that serves the needs of churches and non-profit groups. He and his wife, Darla, live in the Nashville area and have three grown children.
